Missouri Non-Compete Agreements

A non-compete agreement is a contract, usually between an employer and an employee. This contract restricts an employee from entering into or starting a similar business or trade that competes with his or her employers business or trade.

A non-compete can also protect an employer with its relationships with customers and customers information. These agreements however have to be reasonable. The employee does have a right to earn a living and having a non-compete agreement that is too restrictive will not be enforced by a court and could have a devastating impact on your business.
