Evan M. Howard

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Evan attended Kelley School of Business at Indiana University - Indianapolis.  There, he obtained a Bachelors of Science majoring in both Business Management and Human Resources Management.  While attending business school, Evan also received a Paralegal Certification.  Working his way through college, Evan gained extensive experience working as a paralegal in the legal field and mortgage industry.


After graduating from Indiana University, Evan moved to Southern Illinois to attend the Southern Illinois University School of Law. While at SIU, Evan participated in a summer externship at the Jackson County Public Defender's Office, where he was able to gain experience in criminal law; specifically in drug crimes, violent crimes, and DUI charges.


Evan continued working on criminal cases with the Illinois Innocence Project, working on an appeal of a murder charge, as well as getting the opportunity to work with the esteemed Chicago criminal defense attorney Sami Azhari. While under his mentorship, Evan assisted in defending a decades old felony cold case having a crucial role every step of the way.


While in law school, Evan competed on the school's Trial Team; serving on the Executive Board and as President of the Trial Team. While on the team, he was able to receive invaluable experience preparing, preparing, and presenting cases to juries.  As a leading member of the team, Evan was able to travel and present these cases in San Francisco, California, Louisville, Kentucky, Birmingham, Alabama, Chicago, Illinois and Carbondale, Illinois.
